Acoustic Guitars

Katoh Alex/CS classical guitar which is a modern interpretation of some 19th century style guitars. It is a small body guitar with spruce top and rosewood back/sides.

This was my second ever guitar of any type and I got it when I was in high school. The one it replaced was a cheap beginner one with dodgy repairs to a broken headstock.

This was the first of my steel string guitars and is still a great old workhorse.

Martin 5-15 Mahogany Top Size 5 “Terz” is a short scale guitar generally tuned a major third higher than standard.

Jack Spira short scale guitar. This was custom made for me and is a short scale instrument generally tuned a fourth higher than standard.

Although called a guitar tenor guitars also have a lot in common with the tenor banjo or mandolin family being tuned in 5ths. I have it tuned CGCG or CGDA though I also like the low tuning GDGD or GDAE.
